WHAT IS MY CULTURE?
Assignment 1(A) - Individual
Individually, we are to create a 90-seconds video highlighting the culture we grew up with. It should reflect the significant importance of the culture towards the family, how it effects personal well-being and most important how it shapes you as the individual you are now.

The culture that you highlight in the video can include a particular event, custom or belief that you and your family practice and is significant to the family.
WORK PROGRESS
After getting the assignment brief, I was unsure what to talk about in the video as I felt there was no unique culture going on in my family.
​
However, Ms Sufina explained to us in the first tutorial that our video could talk any particular event that is special and unique to the family and gave a few examples in class. I then immediately knew what I wanted this video to be about.
​
I drafted out the script as I decided to go with an animated style to suit the time-frame given, changing parts here and there and move on to making the slides or frames. I myself had no experience with video editors at all so it was a great challenge to me.
​
I asked my friends for suitable video editors for beginners and look up for editing tutorials on YouTube. I then finish on with the slides/frames and proceed with editing. After gaining some knowledge on editing, I managed to complete it 5 days.
REFLECTION
It was a real joy to edit this video as I talked with my family members about the event and we were always laughing as we remembered the moments of pleasure when it happened throughout the years.

I also somehow find it entertaining to edit videos especially when trying to compost a well all-rounded with suitable sounds and music. Nonetheless, it also made me appreciate all the video editors for editing videos of longer duration as they surely would take a very long time to complete it all.
