ELEMENTS OF NATURAL AND BUILT ENIVRONMENT

In this module, students will learn about the elements of the natural environment and its beauty. Students will explore and learn more about the Planet Earth and all it's resources, the forest and the different habitat that exist. Furthermore, students will learn that Mother Nature has so much more to offer, much more than trees and water and sunlight, Mother Nature offers us lessons of how to create a better, greener and more sustainable environment.


Moreover, students will learn about the elements of the built environment. They will learn about what makes a city function, about space, buildings and infrastructure. They will understand that buildings are built for people, to be functional and useful and not just monuments and sculptures, to look pretty and serve no purpose. Students will be taught what effects developement can bring to the environment.

CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS

This module aims to develop students’ critical thinking and idea generation abilities through the investigation and application of a wide range of thinking skills and techniques. The lessons taught in the lecture throughout the semester is based on a book called Zig Zag. It is a book written by Keith Sawyer. In his book, he has come up with 8 steps that he said can improve one's creative thinking. The 8 steps are:
1) Ask                          2)Learn
3) Look                        4) Play
5)Think                        6) Fuse
7) Choose                   8) Make
