NATURE JOURNAL
ENBE Assignment 1 - Individual
Students are required to watch a nature documentary named "Earth 2007" by Disney and to present factual information, personal experiences and thoughts in the nature journal.
Objectives of this Project:
1. To create awareness of the elements of nature
2. To be exposed to the elements of nature and its basic unit, form and function

WORK PROGRESS
To start the project, I have to watch the nature documentary which is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes long to gather information of what I should decide to draw and write about. I jot down all the different types species of flora and fauna along with the natural phenomenas shown in the video.
After that, I finalise the stuffs I want to show in my journal and start researching about them. At the same time, I draw the drafts of the designs and layout of the journal for tutorial sessions.
With everything confirmed by the tutor, I start to paint everything and ink. I also give the illustrations a few final touch-ups here and there such as texture and shadows and write down all the informations with varying sizes of felt-tip pens I'd researched beforehand. I then compile everything together and plastic bend them.
REFLECTION
At the completion of this nature journal, I have learnt to identify the various types of elements in natural environment found in the world. Not only that, I am also able to describe the different characteristics of nature by exploring the basic natural elements such as topography, landscape and etc.
I have learnt how to transfer my thoughts and feelings into words and graphics where I can unleash my creativity in the way that I am to think how to make my nature journal an interesting yet pleasant one to read.
In conclusion, it was very fun to produce my own journal as it was the first time doing so. I always wanted to make one when I saw those daunting journals in the internet when I was in high school but I did not have the time to do so. Thanks to this project, the journal was possible.
